A recent whopping figure emerged with respect to viewership of online video. In the October month in 2011 around 201.4 billion videos were viewed by 1.2 billion people across the world. Of the total numbers of videos around 88.3 billion videos were viewed on Google sites, most importantly on YouTube. The second place was grabbed by the YoukuInc, a Chinese based video-sharing property as accounted for about 4.6 billon of the online videos seen around the world in the month of October. With respect to comScore’s this report for inaugural worldwide online viewing report, product manager for Video Dan Piech stated, “As global broadband connectivity continues to rise, online video viewing has taken off in a big way and has become a fully integrated component of the digital content experience.”
