Google+ launches Drug war debate through Hangout

Google recently release a new Hangout video named as Versus on the YouTube blog.  In co-ordination with Intelligence², a worldwide forum having roots in the U.K. that organizes debates on radio and television on issues of social problems and other activities. In the video participants debate over on a tabled motion and the audience can present their views in real time on the importance and value of the arguments.

The first motion is “It’s time to end the War on Drugs.” It includes contributors to the debate including Richard Branson, Russell Brand, Julian Assange and the former presidents of Mexico and Brazil. The moderator is Emily Maitlis of the BBC. It airs on the Versus YouTube channel on March 13 at 7:00 p.m. GMT. By participating on the Versus Google+ page, you can be part of this debate.

Hangouts is a good initiative by Google+ that poses some competition to Facebook popularity.   Most Hangout activities are exposed to the people on Google+, however, it also presents the some smart visibility through some well-deserved promotions like. President of the United States hung out. The Presidential Hangout succeeded immensely and even rivaled cable TV. In fact,   the informal nature of Google+ Hangouts brings some refreshing touch to the video telecasting. Google+ has a great advantage of Hangout as no social media site has such a massive infrastructure like YouTube’s as a back-end.
