Major online e-commerce service, Flipkart recently started its new Wallet feature that provides shoppers facilities to add credit to their Flipkart account that can be used in making online purchases on the portal. Under these service transactions up to the level of Rs 10,000 using regular payment options can be credited through net banking and debit cards. It has the facility that facilitates to the purchases to be deducted from the Wallet. One of the important benefits of this service is that it frees one from entering banking details every time a purchase is made. However, it risks Flipkart credentials to be hacked. In case there is not sufficient amount in a Wallet shoppers even can make purchases with the help of traditional shopping modes. But this not allows an option for the ‘Cash on Delivery’. Flipkart also announced recently that it can shop around 20 units every time with Cash on Delivery (COD) option.
