Google has come under severe criticism for flouting its own anti-spam rules sponsoring hundreds of blog postings in order to promote its web browser Chrome. The paid posting glorifying the use of Chrome for small businesses is appears to the act of search giant.  The viral of sponsored links has also been witnessed with the keyword “Google Chrome” in Google’s search results. Google explained this could be mistake on the part of media buying firm called Essence Digital, hired by the search giant. Essence Digital, however put their view in following words, “We want to be perfectly clear here: Google never approved a sponsored-post campaign. They only agreed to buy online video ads. Google have consistently avoided paid postings…”. Danny Sullivan, a search engine expert and writer at the Search Engine Land blog, told this practice adopted by Google as garbage.
