What I do for a living is not what I want to do.
What I want to do is what is true.
When I dare to offer my heart to that flame,
Fear brings me down, Oh! What a shame.

What I do for a living is not what I want to do.
What I want to do is what is true.
When I dare to offer my heart to that flame,
Fear brings me down, Oh! What a shame.

My age is the life in my years,
Will I risk my living or succumb to my fears?
Am I ready to look like a fool,
Or be just some puppet or some tool?

I don’t believe in planets, I don’t believe in moons
But I believe in miracles, I believe in boons!

I have touched bottom, many a time
Yes, I have withdrawn, but is it a crime?

I want to leap in the sun; I want to dance in the rains
But the fear of consequence shackles me like chains.

I want to burst open, I want to break free.
Oh would my savior come, oh would he help me.

I can lie to the world, but not to my soul.
I could break a million hearts just to be whole.

I am true as truth itself, and that is for sure.
I wouldn’t put on a facade in order to lure.

I see beauty, in the smallest of things,
Like the bird on seeing dawn, chirps and sings.

Failure brings me down and then I can not stand tall
But doesn’t even the mighty river have its rise and fall?

No matter what if they taunt, no matter what they say,
If I know my calling, I can walk ALONE my way!

Hope keeps me going, my faith keeps me strong.
I believe in my dreams and I know I’m not wrong.

I wish to please myself, before I please another
Coz man lives with himself, before he can live with a brother.
My age is the life in my years,
Will I risk my living or succumb to my fears?
Am I ready to look like a fool,
Or be just some puppet or some tool?
