As according to the recently provided figures from eMarketer, Facebook‘s revenue for advertising alone has reached to the wondering figure of $1.86 billion for last year. By any mean it is not a small achievement for a company that is about to celebrate seventh birthday. And adding other revenue incomes with above quoted $1.86 marks easily takes the figures up to the level and mark of $ 2 billion.  The 33 percent revenue earned by Facebook is from Facebook Credits that achieved massive expansion through Facebook system of apps and games.  With respect to ads Facebook is providing about 50 billion display ads per month and was about to reach at the level of 1 trillion display ads for the year 2010.
And Facebook is yet not stopping at here. It is not merely pacified with the tried-and-true display ads served on the basis of user behavior and data, it is further experimenting into local deals crossing the line and creating competition for companies like Google, Groupon, Foursquare and other companies. According to AdAge, eMarketer analyst Debra Williamson around 60% of Facebook’s 2010 ad revenue came from SMBs and that 60% of Facebook’s ad dollars came through its self-serve ad platform. Around $740 million of Facebook’s earring in 2010 was generated from major brands like as Procter & Gamble or Coca-Cola.
